Just trying to set the field of an 625 superconducting magnet power supply - the system is in persistent mode with the power supply field ramped to zero. I need to ramp it up again to 0.00043 mT, but the command "SETF +004.293E-04" is setting the field to 0.4293T. Is there an issue with the number of decimal places? What is the correct format for low field values?
Sounds good - thank you! I'll give it a try next time I'm at low field and let you know. I started controlling the field with the current instead - but prior to doing that, I also tried "+0.0004E+00", "+0.0004", "0.0004" etc which still all set the field to 0.4T.

Actually, I have done additional research and most likely you have a firmware version that does not handle the exponent properly. Please send a *IDN? command to the Model 625 and see if the reported firmware version is version 1.3 or earlier. If it is, please send an email to email@example.com and provide your contact information and shipping address as we can send you a new Firmware EPROM that should eliminate the issue.
