We have a model 331 temperature controller in our lab. Every single time, I turning it on, the initial message flashes on the screen, it beeps and then it doesn't start the start up sequence. It keeps showing the message that says 'Lakeshore' and keeps beeping at regular intervals. It doesn't show any error message either. Any idea what could be an issue here or how to fix it?

Most likely the issue you are experiencing is due to a fault in the power supply circuit on the main PCB. I suggest you contact our support department at support@lakeshore.com and provide your contact information and the serial number of the Model 331 so they can provide a quotation and arrange a RMA.

Thank you....I have one more question about an older model....model 330 PCB part list to be specific. I have the PCB layout but it doesn't have the resistor values, I need to find resistor value for part R36, is it possible to find it out somehow?

R36 in the Model 330 is an OHMITE 41F1R0E, 1 WW 3W 50PPM 1% resistor. You can purchase one from Digikey as their part number 43F1R0E-ND

Are you referring to his Model 331 or Model 330 issue? If it is the Model 331 issue, what is the serial number of your instrument.
