Hello, Page 23 in the Lakeshore 336 manual contains info on the merit of the "two-sensor approach". I couldn't find in the manual how to implement this. Could someone provide info on that?

Hello,
Basically, the suggested two sensor approach is recommending to add a second sensor near the sample space so you have a more accurate measurement temperature.
The only way you can use two sensors to control the same heater is to set up zone control where you use one sensor for part of the setpoint ramp and then switch to a second heater once your setpoint reaches the desired temperature. In the zone segments, you can have different heater ranges and PID values
