Hi,
I have a problem using the 331 temperature controller. I tried to increase the temperature by pressing the Heater button and the display could show "Low", "Med", and "High", but the percentage of power was still zero and the temperature didn't increase fast. It seems the button is working, but there is no power output. Priviously, when it worked properly the percentage could reach 100%. The connected wires are good. Do you know how to solve this?
Thanks, Guang

Please tell me what setpoint you have entered and what the current temperature is reading. For the Model 331 to provide a heater output, the setpoint must be higher than the current temperature. Also make sure the value for P is greater than zero. I suggest you start with the default value of P=50, I=20 and D=0 with a setpoint 5 to 10K higher than the current temperature.

If you press button #7 on the front panel, you can see and if needed adjust the PID Values manually. I suggest you start with the default values of P=5-, I=20 and D=0

I tried to press the #7. Then it only showed "mannual out 0.000%" and I didn't see the P, I or D that I can set. The only value I can change is the mannual out percentage. I tried to set it to 50% and 100%. Then I opened the heater and it worked at the percentage I have set. But it didn't stop when the temperature reached to the setpoiont and the temperature kept increasing. It seems it can be mannally started and stopped by this way. But how can I let it auto tune the power output? The controller can auto tune the power oouput before. I don't know why it can't suddenly.

It sounds like you have the Control Mode set to OPEN instead of CLOSED. You need to Change the Mode to CLOSED and then select Manual PID for the Tune Mode selection. Once you have this configuration, you should be able to see the PID Values using button #7.

I changed it to CLOSED and then I can select the AutoTune PID. Now it can auto control the temperature like before. Thank you very much.
