Hello, I am trying to configure a 331 to interface with Lakeshore Curve Handler 9 through a National Instruments GPIB-USB-HS+. The IEEE address on the device is set to 12, the IEEE term set to EOI. In Lakeshore Curve Handler, under the connect tab I set the device to Lakeshore Model 331 and the GPIB address to 12. When I try to connect, I get the message "Unable to communicate with the instrument." The device DOES appear in NI Measurement & Automation Explorer as Model331S, and I am able to communicate with it. When sent the command "*IDN?", the 331 returns "LSCI,MODEL331S,331697,032301". I believe I have the relevant software and drivers installed (see photo), so I don't think that's the problem. I would greatly appreciate any advice about what I can do to successfully connect my 331 to Lakeshore Curve Handler.

Hello Amany,
The Lake Shore Curve Handler version 9 application has many dependencies and requires that the GPIB Driver is properly configured to work with NET Framework 4.0 & 4.5.1.C. Regretfully, it is sometimes impossible to get the GPIB Interface operational with the application so I suggest you download and install the Legacy version of the Curve Handler application that can be found at:
www.lakeshore.com/Documents/InstallCurveHandler.zip
The attached document has some information on the configuration of the GPIB Driver operation with NET Framework if you want to give that a try.

Hi, this is exactly my problem. I am using Lakeshore 224 GPIB and a Cernox sensor CX-1070-SD-HT. It asked GPIB address and I entered 12, it does't work. I have several Lakeshore connected to the system. Could you please post the configuration GPIB Driver operation with NET Framework again? The file does.t not appear.
Thank you
