Hello, for a TTP6 cryo measurement system (open cycle), is there a way to switch one end of the transfer line from a LN dewar to a LHe dewar? Since I need to make measurements anyway at temperatures from 300K to 78K, it's more economic to use LN. However, for temperature points lower than 78K, I need to use LHe. But I can't seem to disconnect the transfer line from the cryostat when it's cold due to the ice/frost formed around the connection. Therefore, I'm wondering if I can somehow switch the other end of the transfer line to a different dewar. Or if you have other suggestions for reducing the LHe usage (other than the ones already mentioned in the other thread), that would be helpful too. Thank you.

Yes, it is possible to switch from LN to LHE during a cool down with the understanding that the cool down time will be longer and that the process creates potential for blockages to form in the transfer line or refrigerator.
If you send me an email to service@lakeshore.com and provide your contact information so I can send you a link to download one of our newer manuals which has the procedure you would use.
