I have a meter that recently started this issue where after powering on, it displays the full LCD image then cal number as normal but then will show a reading for a fraction of a second then display three dashes permanently: - - -.
I tried powering on with the escape key and it displays: 2, 10, 96, then the cal number, then the error returns.
Problem persists with probe attached or not attached.
Is there another reset procedure or this likely dead?

Although it could be a problem with the Model 410 itself, the 3-dashes indicate that the meter cannot read the probe which is normally due to a broken probe. Your option is to order a new probe or contact our service team by sending an email to service@lakeshore.com and provide the serial number of the Model 410 and the model and serial number of the probe. We can provide a Return Authorization so you can send the equipment back for analysis and then provide more information on what the resolution will require.
