Dear Lakeshore Team,
I want to test a cryostats which should work down to 4K, I use a cernox CX-1050-SD-HT-1.4L-P with Pt leads. I mounted the sensor on the cold finger using Apiezon N on the bottom and small stainless steel plate with two screws as shown in the picture. For thermal anchoring, I wraped the 32 AWG wire few loops around the crypstats. Unfortunately the lowest temperature measured by sensor is 9K which can be due to either a problem in the cooling system or a bad temperature-measurement system. I have to questions:
1- is the thermal anchoring I did looks good enough ?
2- Does the stainless steel plate which traps the sensor could affect the measurement due to a temperature gradient on the top ? if yes, trying to cool it down with a small Indium piece of would make it better ?
