Dear Engineer, Hi, this is National Pingtung University (NPTU), Department of Applied physics. There have some question for measurement problem. Fristly, Show on above picture, when we measure the hysteresis loop which the maximum field up to 18000 G, it cannot work to the maximum filed, only up to 3000 G and back to around 60 G. Is this have any problem with our equipment or the other reason? Second, the timely measurement's vale cannot show on the software, include Moment, Field, Temperature. Also the VSM controller cannot display. When we press to display VSM controller, it will close the software and shut down. Did prof. or member can answer the situation about our problem? We need to repair it and continue the a lot measurements. All the best for you, Alice

I do not make sure how Omega Scientific Taiwan commutation with you. We still have a lot of question want to ask how to solve them. Omega Scientific Taiwan is very irresponsible. The problem isn't truly to tell you or you cannot understand the problem. As the previous experience, our prof. says the problem maybe is the power transistor has broken or the other reason let the 648 electromagnet power supply cannot work. Is it have any test can know about that? And now have one error need to cancel. The 648 electromagnet power supply shows a kind of error. '' output control failure '' If we want to try to change any parameter in the setting, it can not work. The error will lock all functions in the setting. How can we cancel the error? We understand that the malfunction of your EM power supply affects your research work. We are communicating with Omega's service engineer almost every day about this and we are trying first to find the problem. We hope that is something that can be fixed locally but, unfortunately, the Model 648 may need to be sent to Lake Shore for repairs. Modern electronics are increasingly difficult to repair on-site, despite the service engineers efforts and commitments to help our customers. I think you are right in your assumption that a power transistor have failed, as this is most common failure mode. Because the difficulty of replacing them and because other components may be affected as well, most of these repairs are done at Lake Shore. Together with our rep, Omega, we are very close to provide you a conclusion and recommend the repair. You will hear from us in 1-2 days.
