I just updated the firmware on my F71 Teslameter from what I believe was Rev 1.0.2018060702 (the original firmware that came on the device) to Rev 1.8.2021062806 (the most recent firmware) and now I am unable to change any of my device settings.
The error I get is : “invalid digital IO function '###'”. The number changes depending on which settings I am trying to change. In the measurement setup it’s 163 and In Digital I/O its 65.
I am going to try to revert my firmware to the original in the meantime

Hello and thanks for reaching out!
We've seen similar before and a reset to factory defaults should fix the issue.
To reset the instrument to the factory defaults: 1. Tap the Settings menu (top left corner of the screen). 2. Tap System settings. 3. Tap Reset, then tap Reset instrumentation settings. 4. A confirmation message will appear. Tap Reset to confirm the action.
If you continue having issues, please contact us at support@lakeshore.com for further troubleshooting.
Greetings, Ogi K.

Reverting to the original firmware could be a good temporary solution while you investigate further. Have you reached out to the manufacturer for assistance or checked Arista vision if there are any known issues with this firmware version.
