Problem solved! It appears to have been dirty contacts on the USB-B connector at the back of the Lakeshore 336. Re-seating the cable multiple times cleaned the contacts sufficiently to allow the firmware update to complete. Glad you found a solution and thank you for posting the solution you came up with! Hopefully it’ll help others in a similar situation.

Would like to know the long term stability past 200 cycles for the DT-621-HR. Datasheet calls out +/-40mK for 305K to 77K. Past 200 cycles does the stability level out with no more changes? Does the stability continue at a linear rate past 200 cycles? Do changes in stability accelerate past 200 cycles?

Hi Jaymeen.
I'm not the right person to answer this, but have you tried downloading the chart recorder and instrument utility to a thumb drive, and then connecting that to your work station?
Lake Shore is closed for the holiday, but I will be sure to have an appropriate response for you when we return to the office on Tuesday.
